Job Title: Network Engineer

As a key member of our technical team, we are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to support the implementation and maintenance of our networks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network analysis and design, as well as experience with technology support and client services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide top-level technical support for any network issues ranging from implementation of new networks to troubleshooting outages for local and remote networks.
  • Handle second-level technical support and service requests related to all supported technology, including workstations, servers, printers, and Office applications.
  • Technical support for networking, such as WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, wireless, and security.
  • Remote access solution implementation and support, including IPSEC VPN.
  • Understanding of DNS/DHCP.
  • Ability to work with vendor support to resolve client issues.
  • Experience with Command Line Interfaces to manage computer equipment.
  • IT Support relating to technical issues involving Microsoft's core business applications and operating systems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent education or training desired.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience as a network engineer, including phone, remote support, and hands-on experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Applications.
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience installing/configuring routers, switches, VPNs, firewalls (Cisco, Sophos, Palo Alto).

Certifications:

  • Actively pursuing one relevant certification track: Security+, Network+, CCNA, JNCIA.
  • Sophos, Palo Alto, Sonicwall certifications preferred.
