Maintenance Operations Specialist

As a key member of our plant maintenance team, you will be responsible for leading a group of skilled technicians and engineers in ensuring the smooth operation of our dairy plant.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and coordinate the maintenance activities of the plant, including routine maintenance, repairs, and capital projects.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and reduce energy consumption.
- Lead and manage a team of skilled technicians and engineers to ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and repaired.
- Conduct regular audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that maintenance activities are aligned with business objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation).
- 10+ years of experience in maintenance and utilities management in a large dairy, food, or pharma plant.
- Professional certifications such as Energy Manager, Boiler Engineer, TPM Facilitator, and Six Sigma would be an added advantage.
- Maintenance and utilities management experience in milk processing, evaporator & dryer, cheese plant equipment, and utilities equipment like boiler & steam network, ammonia & freon based refrigeration system, etc.
- Experience in preparing and monitoring maintenance budgets, setting and improving energy standards, identifying and executing cost and energy saving ideas.
- People management skills, capable of managing a team of 100 people, identifying training needs, performance assessment, and inculcating a human safety culture.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze complex data and develop strategic plans to improve maintenance operations.
- Proficiency in MS Office and knowledge of AI & ML applications would be an added advantage.

Others:Our plant operates 24/7, so there may be some flexibility needed in terms of working hours. Regular working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with occasional overtime shifts during production periods. You should be able to work at heights and lift up to 25 kg occasionally.
