System Administration Role

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced System Administrator to assist with the design, implementation, and maintenance of our infrastructure. This position will continually enhance IT Infrastructure standards, policies, and procedures, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability for all on-premises and cloud-based resources.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system administration, with expertise in Windows Server environments, Azure, AWS, and Hyper-V. They will be responsible for configuring, deploying, and maintaining server environments, as well as administering and addressing user support tickets.

The successful candidate will also be able to administer and maintain Active Directory services, Microsoft 365 services, and other related technologies. They will collaborate closely with the IT Security team to implement security best practices and controls, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our Infrastructure.

This role requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be proactive, taking calculated risks in uncertain or ambiguous situations, and possess a passion for delivering business value.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Configure, deploy, and maintain Azure, AWS, and Hyper-V Server environments
  • Administer and address user support tickets
  • Configure, deploy, and maintain Active Directory services
  • Administer and maintain Microsoft 365 services
  • Collaborate with the IT Security team to implement security best practices
  • Maintain detailed documentation of Infrastructure services
  • Generate regular reports on server performance and security metrics
  • Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks and issues

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in system administration, with a focus on Windows Server environments
  • MCSE or equivalent certification
  • Proficiency managing on-premises/cloud Windows server deployments
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
