Job Description

We are seeking an experienced professional to manage and maintain our database systems.

  • Database Administration:
    • Install, configure, upgrade, monitor, and optimize database performance.
    • Perform troubleshooting on metadata locks, slow queries, replication lag, and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Linux Server Management:
    • Manage user accounts, monitor system processes, schedule cron jobs, update packages, and check system resources.
  • Backup and Recovery:
    • Implement backup and recovery processes using mysqldump or Percona XtraBackup, and ensure data integrity.
  • System Maintenance:
    • Perform routine patching, upgrades, security hardening for MySQL and Linux environments, and maintain system documentation.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, and escalate complex problems to the next level with proper root cause analysis inputs.
    • Participate in disaster recovery drills, capacity planning, and system audits to ensure optimal performance.
  • Documentation:
    • Develop and maintain runbooks, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base documentation for improved collaboration and knowledge sharing.
    Required Skills and Qualifications
    • Extensive experience in database administration, Linux server management, and system maintenance.
    • Strong understanding of MySQL and Linux fundamentals, including configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills, with ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work with cross-functional teams.
