Job Description

The Practice Lead Data will be responsible for leading a team of data professionals to deliver high-quality projects.

  • Leadership and Delivery: Provide leadership and manage delivery across various client engagements, prioritizing accounts and customer value by ranking them based on strategic importance and urgency to ensure critical ones get priority attention.
  • Resource Allocation: Allocate resources efficiently across the portfolio, ensuring necessary resources like personnel, technology, and budget are allocated optimally.
  • Performance Metrics: Monitor and analyze performance metrics to measure the success and impact of projects within the portfolio.
  • Optimization: Optimize resource utilization to avoid overallocation or underutilization, ensuring optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Project Progress: Regularly review project progress to ensure they are on track with timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks that could impact the portfolio, such as resource constraints, technical challenges, or market changes, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, managing expectations and ensuring they are informed about project statuses, risks, and changes to the portfolio.
  • Governance: Ensure compliance and governance around service level and contractual obligations.
  • Financial Planning: Accord the right level of urgency to financial planning analysis and budgeting aspects at the project/portfolio level, reviewing revenue projections, staffing capacity, and key internal stakeholder feedback periodically.
  • Team Performance: Evaluate delivery teams' performance scorecards regularly, implementing best practices and standards, and working with delivery managers to drive process improvements, cost reduction, and efficiency gains.
