Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Cyber Security Assessment professional to join our organization.

This role involves monitoring and assessing cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents affecting released medical devices. You will lead post-market security investigations, coordinate vulnerability response and remediation activities, and perform risk assessments in alignment with FDA, ISO/IEC 81001-5-1, and NIST cybersecurity frameworks.

You will collaborate with product teams to develop and deploy security patches and updates, maintain and improve post-market surveillance processes for cybersecurity, and support regulatory submissions and audits related to post-market cybersecurity.

Additionally, you will contribute to security incident response planning and execution, engage with external researchers, and coordinate responsible disclosure processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and assess cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents affecting released medical devices
  • Lead post-market security investigations and coordinate vulnerability response and remediation activities
  • Perform risk assessments and impact analyses in alignment with FDA, ISO/IEC 81001-5-1, and NIST cybersecurity frameworks
  • Collaborate with product teams to develop and deploy security patches and updates
  • Maintain and improve post-market surveillance processes for cybersecurity
  • Support regulatory submissions and audits related to post-market cybersecurity
  • Contribute to security incident response planning and execution

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar field (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Six years of general Cybersecurity experience in a private, public, government, or military environment
  • Three years of Product Security experience in a private, public, government, or military environment (preferably in medical devices)
  • Three years of Vulnerability Management experience in a private, public, government, or military environment
  • Three years of Cybersecurity Process Development experience
  • Experience assessing and improving cybersecurity maturity using the NIST CSF Implementation Tiers
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with IT, business partners, and internal and external audits
  • Master's degree in an Information Technology field from an accredited institution
  • Proven experience evaluating and advancing organizational cybersecurity maturity aligned with NIST CSF Implementation Tiers
  • Three years of Medical Device Post-Market Experience
  • Familiarity with global healthcare data privacy and security regulations, including FDA, HIPAA, and GDPR
