Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to lead and supervise geotechnical activities for a large-scale open pit mine operation. The ideal candidate will have expertise in geological settings and be responsible for geotechnical studies, pre-feasibility and feasibility reports, stability analysis, simulation modeling, and slope stabilization.
About the Role:
- To develop and implement geotechnical strategies for mine operations with complex geological settings
- To conduct geotechnical studies and prepare comprehensive reports on stability analysis, simulation modeling, and slope stabilization
- To lead and manage geotechnical teams to achieve project goals and objectives
- To ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
Requirements:
- Postgraduate degree in Geological Science/Geology/Applied Geology/Engineering Geology/Geotechnical Engineering/Degree in Mining Engineering
- At least 5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, preferably in open-pit mining
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities
Working Conditions:
- Work in a fast-paced open-pit mining environment
- Travel to mine sites as required
