Lead BIM Mechanical Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead BIM Mechanical Designer to lead our Building Information Modeling (BIM) efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing and coordinating BIM processes across complex projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • BIM Implementation: Develop and maintain detailed 3D models using BIM software to represent design intent and comply with global industry standards.
  • Collaboration: Facilitate coordination among architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to support seamless data exchange.
  • Design Conflict Resolution: Use BIM tools to detect and resolve design conflicts proactively, reducing rework and delays.
  • Documentation: Produce and review construction documentation derived from BIM models to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Model Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date model data and implement QA/QC processes to ensure model integrity and compliance.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Provide training, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to junior technicians and BIM staff.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Expert proficiency in Revit MEP and Navisworks.
  • Solid knowledge of MEP services, with specialization in at least one domain: Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing.
  • Familiarity with 3D/4D BIM modeling, BOQ preparation, clash detection, and general arrangement drawings.
  • Understanding of international codes and BIM CAD standards.
  • Experience preparing design documents across all stages: Concept, Schematic, Detail Design, and GFC.
  • Knowledge of engineering terminology and structural coordination principles.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and oral.
  • Proven leadership ability and team management experience.
Desirable Skills:
  • 7-10 years of professional experience in Building Services Design and BIM implementation.
  • Experience leading BIM efforts for international projects.
