Government Policy Analyst

Grama-Strategy is seeking a skilled Government Policy Analyst to drive meaningful change in the political landscape of India.

  • The ideal candidate will conduct comprehensive research on governance issues, extracting and analyzing large datasets to identify gaps and opportunities.
  • They will develop reports, policy briefs, dashboards, and presentations highlighting insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Able to work closely with political parties and/or government bodies providing advisory support on governance and policy initiatives.

This is a contractual role requiring high professionalism, confidentiality, and ability to manage diverse stakeholders with tact and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct research on governance issues across sectors such as public health, education, rural development, and infrastructure.
  2. Extract and clean large datasets analyzing government policies, schemes, and frameworks.
  3. Develop reports, policy briefs, dashboards, and presentations.
  4. Assist in implementing governance initiatives by developing frameworks and action plans.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from a Tier 1 academic institution preferably in Political Science, Economics, Social Sciences, or Law.
  • Strong grasp of Indian governance systems, policy making cycles, and the political ecosystem.
  • Clear structured writing and presentation skills suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Curious proactive capable of designing solutions from first principles.
