Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned software professional to spearhead the modernization of our legacy platform. As a senior full stack engineer, you will be responsible for migrating our existing UI to Spring Boot microservices and hosting UI pages on AWS.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement highly available, secure, and resilient production systems on AWS Cloud.
  • Migrate legacy UI systems to our new microservice architecture.
  • Upgrade legacy Java applications to Spring Boot applications ensuring high-quality and secure code.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to optimize deployment processes.
  • Troubleshoot any issues to identify root cause and appropriate resolution.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Profound knowledge and experience working with Java and related frameworks such as Spring/Spring Boot.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience working with JavaScript and related frameworks (including old frameworks like Backbone.js/Marionette.js, jQuery).
  • Experience with CI/CD practices, build, and deployment technologies (e.g., Maven, Jenkins, Docker).
  • Experience working with REST APIs.
  • Experience working in production with AWS Cloud infrastructure (e.g., EC2, RDS, S3, Elastic Search).
  • Understanding of security concepts and vulnerability management.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills - you are pragmatic and know how to build trust.
About the Role:

This is a 6-month contract position at a leading global technology company. You will work closely with other engineering teams, product managers, support, and security teams to drive business outcomes.
