Key Job Responsibilities

As a senior leader in our organization, you will oversee the strategic direction and execution of our Search & Licensing business unit. This includes aligning our offerings with market needs and evolving IP trends.

Revenue Generation & P&L Ownership

You will be responsible for owning the profit and loss of the vertical, ensuring revenue targets are met or exceeded. To achieve this, you will develop pricing strategies, resource allocation, and service optimization plans to maximize profitability.

Additionally, you will track project pipelines, billing, and receivables in coordination with our Finance Team.

Service Delivery & Quality Assurance

Under your supervision, we will execute end-to-end all IP Search and Analytics services, including patentability/novelty searches, freedom to operate (FTO) searches, invalidity/validity searches, patent landscaping/technology scouting, and rigorous quality control protocols.

Our goal is to deliver high-quality results on time while maintaining exceptional client satisfaction.

IP Monetization & Licensing

You will lead the design and execution of IP monetization strategies. This includes supporting clients in identifying licensing opportunities, negotiating deals, and executing transactions.

Furthermore, you will build a strong partner/licensee ecosystem across industries.

Client Engagement & Satisfaction

As a strategic advisor, you will offer insight-driven IP solutions to our clients. Your role also includes ensuring a high level of client satisfaction and retention through proactive communication and consistent service quality.

Team Leadership & Performance Management

You will lead a team of analysts, senior searchers, and licensing professionals. Your focus will be on driving a culture of high performance, continuous learning, and accountability.

This includes monitoring team performance, conducting regular feedback and appraisal sessions, and mentoring/grooming high-potential team members into future leadership roles.

Staffing Strategy & Hiring

You will plan and forecast manpower needs in alignment with project pipelines and growth targets. In collaboration with HR, you will attract, interview, and onboard high-caliber talent.

Additionally, you will identify skill gaps within the team and create upskilling plans to enhance their capabilities.

Capability Building & Leadership Development

One of your key responsibilities will be mentoring and grooming high-potential team members into future leadership roles.

Regular training sessions will be conducted on search techniques, licensing frameworks, and effective communication to ensure our team remains up-to-date with industry developments.

Process Excellence & Technology Adoption

Finally, you will play a crucial role in creating and maintaining SOPs, templates, and checklists to standardize quality and efficiency.

Evaluating and adopting cutting-edge patent databases and AI/analytics tools will be essential to achieving better output.
