APIGEE Engineer Position

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of APIGEE Engineer. This individual will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing APIGEE Hybrid runtime plane on Kubernetes clusters.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with APIGEE runtime deployment, APIGEE Hybrid platform management, and cloud-native infrastructure automation. They will also be proficient in scripting with Bash/Shell and Python, along with solid Google Cloud Platform knowledge.

This position involves automating infrastructure provisioning and application deployment using Terraform and Helm charts. The candidate should also be familiar with CI/CD tools and pipelines, as well as integrating APIGEE deployments into automated pipelines.

The successful candidate will have strong experience with APIGEE Expertise, including APIGEE Hybrid platform deployment and runtime management, as well as familiarity with API proxy development, debugging, and policy implementation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, deploy, and manage APIGEE Hybrid runtime plane on Kubernetes clusters (GKE, AKS, or on-prem Kubernetes).
  • Perform installation, upgrades, patching, and maintenance of APIGEE Hybrid and APIGEE X environments.
  • Manage APIGEE runtime components including Message Processors, Synchronizers, and Cassandra clusters within Kubernetes.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployment using Terraform and Helm charts.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong experience with APIGEE Hybrid platform deployment and runtime management.
  • Familiarity with APIGEE X and API management concepts (OAuth, JWT, API keys, SSL/TLS).
  • Experience with API proxy development, debugging, and policy implementation.
  • Hands-on experience managing Kubernetes clusters (GKE, AKS, or on-prem).
  • Proficient in deploying and managing containerized applications using Helm charts.
