Senior Accounts Specialist

The Role:
This is a senior-level position in our accounts payable and receivable team. We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee the management of all AP/AR functions.
Responsibilities:- Process invoices accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely receipt of goods and services.
- Monitor payment terms to optimize working capital.
- Manage vendor master files, including creation, changes, and compliance checks.
- Prepare and process payments, including checks, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
- Maintain accurate records of AP transactions and documentation.
- Generate customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Monitor AR aging and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to address customer inquiries and issues.
- Process customer payments, apply cash receipts, and maintain accurate records.
- Support cash flow forecasting by providing timely AR collection status.
- Collaborate with the finance team to identify doubtful debts and prepare provisions.
- Assist in month-end and year-end close processes related to AP and AR.
- Prepare financial reports and analysis on payables/receivables aging, cash flow, and other relevant metrics.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- AP/AR cycle time.
- Vendor payment accuracy rate.
- Customer satisfaction ratings.
- AR days outstanding.
