Job Title

We are seeking an experienced SQL Server database administrator with expertise in leading projects to modernize legacy systems and design databases for future applications. In this role, you will collaborate closely with developers, IT, and business teams to ensure our data systems are secure, efficient, and ready for growth.

You'll work on designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and highly available database solutions (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL) using skills in indexing, query tuning, and storage management.

Candidates should have a strong proficiency in T-SQL, stored procedures, and performance analysis tools, experience with HA/DR solutions (e.g., AlwaysOn Availability Groups, Log Shipping, Replication), and a solid understanding of database security, compliance (e.g., PII, PCI), and role-based access control.

  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implementation of database solutions for future applications

  • Collaboration with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to support software releases and schema changes

  • Leading database capacity planning, disaster recovery strategy, and backup/restore processes

  • Implementation and enforcement of database security controls including encryption, access controls, and auditing

Preferred qualifications include experience in cloud-based database platforms (e.g., Azure SQL, AWS RDS), knowledge of NoSQL systems (e.g., Cosmos DB, MongoDB, Redis), and familiarity with regulatory requirements in the financial services industry.
