About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Strategic Category Lead to join our team at Sun Pharmaceutical Industries. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the creation and implementation of sourcing strategies for clinical outsourcing.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Leverage expertise in pharmaceutical portfolio experience, cost management, finance, and procurement to develop and implement strategic plans for clinical categories.
  2. Build strong relationships with business leaders, vendors, and stakeholders to drive operational excellence and achieve key objectives.
  3. Develop and manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and drive supplier relationship management initiatives.
  4. Analyze data and market trends to inform sourcing and value development roadmaps and initiatives.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective sourcing and procurement strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in clinical outsourcing, with expertise in CROs, central laboratories, and other clinical study vendors.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of effectively leading cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to navigate complex challenges.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging therapies, and advancements in clinical trial methodologies.
