The successful candidate will lead the transformation and embedding of our organisation's culture, championing our values through strong leadership and inspirational behaviour.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive reports on all areas of HR, Payroll, and Learning and Development, ensuring compliance with Employment Law, HR policy, best practice, and workforce development.
  • Develop and implement effective employment policies across the organisation, advising on strategic decisions.
  • Offer professional leadership, support, and development to HR staff, enhancing knowledge, sharing best practice, and maintaining relevant professional standards.
  • E nsure we adhere to current regulations, accepted professional standards, policies, procedures, and legislation, including data protection, the Equality Act, and health and safety.
  • Oversee the execution of the HR Strategy and core HR department areas, including Recruitment, Employee Relations, Workforce Administration, Employee Engagement, Payroll, Reward, and Recognition, as well as maintaining and improving HR systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on engagement, welfare activities, productivity maximisation, devolving HR responsibilities to line managers, and building leadership capability.
  • Lead the transformation and strengthening of the organisational culture, showcasing our values and approach.
  • Develop a plan for diversity, equality, and inclusion aligned with company values, business strategy, and commitments.
  • Cultivate senior and high-potential colleagues through coaching, mentoring, and support, identifying individual strengths and development needs, developing effective relationships, and encouraging retention.
  • Ensure managers possess necessary skills and access appropriate guidance and information to manage workforce issues.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Masters Degree in HR is required.
  • A minimum of 12 years of experience in an HR role is essential.
  • The ability to create people strategies is critical.
  • Commercial acumen and experience using metrics to drive performance are highly valued.
  • A proactive attitude and passion for leading with integrity are key.
  • Superior interpersonal skills and a positive approachable manner are essential.
  • An agile work ethic and curious mindset to think innovatively and rationally about concerns are desirable.
  • Experience managing skilled teams and making quick yet rational decisions is vital.
  • In-depth knowledge of Employment Law is mandatory.
  • Meticulous attention to detail is crucial.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise, problem-solve, and take initiative are expected.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills are required.
  • A commitment to being an inspiring role model promoting collaboration is essential.
