Job Overview:

  • We are seeking a skilled professional to manage our agricultural commodity trading operations.
  • The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of domestic and international markets, including price trends, supply-demand dynamics, and trade regulations.
  • A strong understanding of trading platforms and exchanges is also essential.

Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor market trends and make informed decisions on buy/sell trades.
  2. Analyse weather patterns, crop reports, government policies, and global trade data to inform trading strategies.
  3. Develop relationships with suppliers, buyers, and other stakeholders in the agri-supply chain.
  4. Mitigate risk using hedging strategies via commodity exchanges.
  5. Ensure compliance with trade regulations and quality standards.
  6. Manage logistics, warehousing, and delivery schedules in coordination with supply chain partners.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in agriculture, economics, business, or related field (MBA/PGDM preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools and Excel.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and networking skills.
  • Ability to thrive in high-pressure trading environments and quick decision-making.
