Senior Data Engineer Position
At the heart of our data-driven initiatives lies a crucial role for a Senior Data Engineer to spearhead the design, development, and optimization of our data ingestion, transformation, and governance frameworks. This individual will be pivotal in enabling real-time and batch data analytics across our data platform.
The ideal candidate will possess expertise in cloud-native data engineering, specifically on Microsoft Azure. Their key responsibilities will include designing and implementing scalable, robust, and secure data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics, and other tools.
Key qualifications include 4+ years in data engineering with at least 2+ years on Azure cloud platform, hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Gen2, Databricks, Synapse, Purview, proficiency in SQL, PySpark, Python, and data orchestration tools. Additionally, they must have a strong understanding of data architecture patterns such as Lakehouse, Medallion, and Delta Architecture.
The successful candidate will drive technical design, coding, unit testing, test case documentation, and walkthroughs for all assigned Azure-related projects. They will also critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
Qualifications also include familiarity with Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or AWS Glue, experience with data versioning and GitOps for data, working knowledge of data observability, lineage, cataloguing, data quality, exposure to privacy-enhancing techniques, access control, security auditing, and experience with machine learning use cases in data engineering pipelines, data quality, anomaly detection, and schema change detection.
We are seeking a collaborative team player who can lead data initiatives, mentor team members, and proactively learn and adopt emerging technologies in data & AI. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field is required, along with excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
