Design and Development Role at Love Letter

The primary objective of this position is to support the Creative Director in the development process of Love Letter's jewellery collection. This role involves working closely with the design and production teams to create new designs, technical packs, and product samples.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop new designs based on seasonal briefs provided by the Creative Director.
  2. Prepare technical packs with diagrams, labelling, and information for sampling and production.
  3. Communicate new designs and technical details to the production team and participate in the sampling process.
  4. Engage in cross-functional meetings related to design and follow up on outstanding issues.
  5. Update technical packs and illustrations based on revisions and fittings.
  6. Create digital 2D CADs for design presentations.
  7. Develop and maintain a material library.
  8. Apply creative problem-solving skills to jewellery construction challenges.

Requirements:

  • Excellent organizational skills to manage a dynamic workload.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to design with business objectives and cost effectiveness in mind.
  • Knowledge of jewellery CAD software (Matrix/Rhino/3Design) is a plus.
