Job Description:

The Assistant General Manager – Finance & Accounts will oversee financial planning, reporting, budgeting, and treasury functions. This role involves managing project accounting, ensuring statutory compliance, and supporting business growth through strong financial governance and cost control.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Planning: Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Ensure timely MIS reporting, variance analysis, and financial projections.
  • Project Management: Monitor project-wise profitability and cash flow management.
  • Cost Control: Implement cost control measures to optimize project margins.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare annual budgets and forecasts in alignment with business objectives.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor actual performance against budgets and provide actionable insights.
  • Accounting and Compliance: Supervise accounting for construction projects including work-in-progress (WIP), billing, subcontractor accounts, and material reconciliations.
  • Statutory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements.
  • Contract Management: Manage contract accounting, retention money, and escalation claims.
  • Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow requirements for ongoing and upcoming projects.
  • Relationship Building: Maintain relationships with banks for working capital, term loans, and BG/LC facilities.
  • Fund Optimization: Monitor interest costs and optimize fund utilization.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance & accounts team across multiple project sites.
  • Capability Building: Build capabilities for financial discipline at the site and corporate levels.
  • Account Closure: Ensure timely closure of accounts at HO and site levels.
