Speech Language Pathologist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with special educators and therapists to provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services for children with speech, language, and communication disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and diagnose speech and language disorders in children, using standardized tools and techniques.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating play therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and behavior modification strategies.
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure effective communication and support for children with complex needs.
  • Contribute to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and develop targeted interventions to promote language development and communication skills.
  • Provide counseling and guidance to children and families on managing behavior and supporting developmental milestones at home.
Requirements:
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
  • Current licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
  • Experience working with children with diverse backgrounds and abilities, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Down Syndrome, and other neurodevelopmental disorders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with parents, teachers, and other professionals.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines, while maintaining high-quality service delivery and documentation.
