Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with expertise in procurement and supplier management to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for collaborating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality components, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing procurement processes to minimize costs and improve efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and purchasing to ensure alignment on project timelines and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to negotiate pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
  • Analyze and optimize procurement processes to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and enhance supplier performance.
  • Monitor and report on supplier performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to procurement and supplier management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 4-7 years of experience in mechanical design engineering with a focus on procurement and supplier management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to analyze complex data and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • PMP certification.
  • Experience working with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
