Engineering Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Engineering Manager to lead and scale our dynamic engineering team.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring timely delivery of high-performance, AI/ML-powered Data Analytics solutions with maximum efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship:
    • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team through strategic planning and coaching sessions.
    • Drive performance management including quarterly appraisals with clear objectives and key results.
    • Manage resource planning, hiring, and team structure by leveraging data-driven insights and market trends.
  • Agile & Delivery Management:
    • Facilitate Agile ceremonies: daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement.
    • Plan and manage sprints, monitor velocity, and track delivery metrics using cutting-edge tools and methodologies.
    • Ensure alignment with the product roadmap and timely feature delivery through effective prioritization and resource allocation.
    • Balance task allocation and team workloads effectively by leveraging project management best practices.
  • Hands-On Technical Oversight:
    • Be hands-on when required in Python-based projects and microservices, driving innovation and technical excellence.
    • Enforce coding standards and modern development practices, fostering a culture of quality and collaboration.
    • Review code and ensure delivery of maintainable, high-quality software through rigorous testing and validation.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve performance, scalability, and deployment issues through swift analysis and root-cause identification.
  • Architecture & Deployment:
    • Own solution architecture with a focus on scalability, security, and performance, utilizing design patterns and principles.
    • Oversee containerization and deployment processes, including Docker-based on-premise deployments with seamless integration.
    • Collaborate with DevOps to ensure smooth CI/CD and version control practices, guaranteeing fast and reliable delivery.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with Product Managers, Business Stakeholders, and QA teams to drive cross-functional alignment and synergies.
    • Lead discussions on bugs, technical challenges, and product improvements through open communication and collaborative problem-solving.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of software development experience, including 4+ years in a leadership role, with a strong track record of delivering high-impact results.
  • Strong Python development experience, especially in scalable, production-grade systems, with expertise in frameworks like Django, Flask, and FastAPI.
  • Experience with Elasticsearch for search and analytics use cases, as well as hands-on experience in Docker and on-premise deployment of enterprise products.
  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases, with a solid grasp of data engineering pipelines, ETL processes, and related tools.
  • Strong background in Agile methodologies, sprint planning, and delivery oversight, with excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
