Job Title:

Governance Risk Compliance Specialist

A leading organization is seeking a seasoned Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) professional to join its team. As a GRC Consultant, you will play a critical role in managing and improving the company's governance, risk, and compliance posture.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Implement and maintain Information Security Management System (ISMS) frameworks based on ISO 27001 standards.
  • Assist in conducting gap assessments, risk assessments, and internal audits to identify areas for improvement.
  • Support external ISO 27001 certification and surveillance audits to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Develop documentation such as policies, procedures, Statement of Applicability (SoA), risk registers, etc. to facilitate effective risk management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address compliance and audit findings, ensuring seamless integration of GRC processes.
  • Conduct regular IT security audits and report on findings and remediation plans to senior management.
  • Provide advisory services on risk management, compliance, and information security best practices to ensure alignment with industry regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in relevant regulations, standards, and emerging security risks to inform GRC strategies.
  • Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in GRC, ISO 27001, ISMS, and IT audit.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 27001 controls, risk assessment methodologies, and audit lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks like NIST, GDPR, SOC 2 is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills to effectively convey complex GRC concepts to stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple client engagements with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ISO 27001 Lead Auditor/Implementer certification is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with GRC tools (e.g., Archer, MetricStream, or similar) to streamline GRC processes.
  • Candidates available to join immediately or within 15 days are preferred.
  • Location: Mumbai or willing to relocate to other locations.
