Security and Compliance Specialist

As a Security Analyst, you will work closely with our Compliance, Development, and Information Technology teams to instill a culture of security and ensure that our computing environments adhere to industry best practices and our internal policies. This role requires a high degree of autonomy, as you will work independently to triage alerts generated by our network security, endpoint security, and SIEM platforms. Your collaboration with team members and internal stakeholders will be essential in evaluating potential risks to the organization and remediating security incidents effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Triage alerts from various security tools to identify potential security threats and collaborate with the team to resolve them
  • Assist end-users in identifying and responding to email phishing attempts to prevent security breaches
  • Work with the IT team to improve security processes and ensure the organization's compliance with industry standards
  • Develop and implement security best practices across the organization, including the creation of runbooks for incident response scenarios
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of security industry developments and ensure the organization's compliance with relevant policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience in cybersecurity
  • At least 3 years of experience in a network engineering, systems engineering, or cybersecurity role, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Current security certifications, such as CCNA Security, CySA+, or CEH, or willingness to obtain them within one year of assignment
  • Experience with network security tools, Windows OS, and Active Directory, as well as familiarity with NIST or ISO frameworks
