Innovations Leader for Beauty Products

Job Description:

We seek an experienced Innovations Leader to drive end-to-end innovation for beauty products. This includes defining problem statements, user requirements, and success metrics, as well as aligning with brand, supply chain, and finance objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop concepts from ideation to production readiness, including tooling, tolerances, materials, and reliability testing.
  • Evaluate motor, heat, and airflow modules, power electronics, and safety features.
  • Identify and qualify OEM/ODM/component suppliers, negotiate MOQs, and build should-cost models.
  • Plan test protocols and documentation for regulatory compliance, including BIS/CRS, IEC 60335 series, RoHS/REACH, EPR (e-waste), WPC (RF), and UN38.3/IEC 62133 (if batteries).
  • Collaborate with ID teams to ensure ergonomics, acoustic comfort, thermals, and serviceability, as well as packaging fit and specification.
  • Manage pilot builds, line setup, SOPs, spares, after-sales support, user manuals, and risk registers.
  • Monitor field performance, NPS/reviews, failure modes, and drive rapid revs and cost/quality improvements.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • 6–10 years of experience in hardware NPD for small appliances/consumer electronics/beauty devices.
  • Proven DFM/DFX, basic EE/ME literacy (PCBA, plastics, metals, silicone), tooling, and reliability testing skills.
  • Strong vendor management experience in India/China/Korea, hands-on with RFQs, BOMs, PPAP/FAT.
  • Familiarity with Indian and global compliance pathways for consumer devices.
  • Proficiency in tools like CAD (SolidWorks/Creo), basic FEA/CFD interpretation, Jira/PLM, and Excel for should-costs.
  • Ability to execute complex projects with multiple parallel tracks and tight deadlines.

Key Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
