Master the Art of Currency Management

The role of a Corporate Treasury professional is multifaceted and demands a strong understanding of currency risk management, investment optimization, and efficient cash management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Hedging and trading skills across currencies with proficiency in charting and technical analysis
  • A deep understanding of macroeconomic fundamentals influencing currency markets
  • Developing an independent view of markets and effectively articulating it
  • Familiarity with compliance regulations in the FX market

Attributes and Qualifications

  • Macro research: preparing high-quality research notes as required
  • Effective management of banking relationships and sourcing funding when needed
  • Designing hedging strategies to optimize cost on borrowing in INR or FCY
  • Establishing good standing in the market and leveraging connections with various market players
  • Desirable: awareness of accounting conventions applicable to corporate treasury

General Managerial Skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong team player with a collaborative mindset
  • Proficiency in technology and its applications in the treasury environment
  • Familiarity with market systems such as Bloomberg and Reuters

Requirements

  • Education: CA/MBA - Finance (full-time) or CFA
  • 5-10 years of experience in financial markets
  • Areas of experience: Forex Market (FX)
  • Institutions worked with: Corporate Treasury / Bank Treasury
  • High ethical standards and integrity aligning with Wipro's value system

Work schedule: 5 days a week. Office-based work arrangement.
