Job Title: Information Technology Compliance Specialist

Overview

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Information Technology Compliance Specialist to lead our IT compliance program.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop, implement, and maintain effective IT governance policies, procedures, and standards across the organization.
  2. Conduct regular risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate risks and improve overall compliance posture.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effectiveness of IT policies and procedures.
  4. Provide guidance and support to process owners on compliance-related matters.
  5. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of IT policies, procedures, and standards.
  6. Coordinate and track all information technology related audits, including scope of audits, parties involved, timelines, and outcomes.
  7. Work with customers, external auditors, and outside consultants as appropriate on required IT assessments and audits.
  8. Maintain excellent relationships with audit entities and provide a consistent perspective that continually puts the organization in its best light.
  9. Define and document business process responsibilities and ownership of controls in GRC tool. Schedule regular assessments and testing of effectiveness and efficiency of controls.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in IT, Security, or related field from an accredited university.
  • At least one security certification is preferable.
  • Experience in related industry with insight and understanding of IT policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of IT Risk, Compliance, and Cybersecurity Frameworks.
  • Ability to develop standards and guidelines based on best practices and industry standards.
  • Ability to implement IT policies, standards, and procedures leading to substantive improvements in compliance with large-scale companies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, including formal report writing experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and resolution of issues.
