Renewable Energy Systems Designer

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Solar Design Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our design department, you will be responsible for evaluating project feasibility and developing preliminary designs for solar electric systems.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience with commercial/ utility PV system design, including MW scale and AC side design. They will also possess excellent knowledge of AutoCAD, PVSyst, MS Office, and current technology trends in the PV industry.
The Solar Design Specialist will work closely with our project managers and construction managers to ensure the successful completion of projects. They will evaluate project results and performance to implement internal continuous improvement measures and prepare monthly reports on design/project activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years of Commercial/Utility PV system design experience, including MW Scale and AC side design
- Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD, PVSyst, MS Office, and current technology trends in PV industry
- Good knowledge of international codes & standards
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Motivated to learn new skill sets and expand knowledge base
- Willingness to travel
