Job Summary

A leading accounting firm is seeking a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join the team in the United States.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing tax returns, and ensuring compliance with US tax regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and manage accurate books of accounts, ledgers, journals, and financial statements for clients.
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and other financial data regularly.
  • Prepare month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing reports.
  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns in accordance with IRS guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with US tax regulations, filing deadlines, and reporting requirements.
  • Assist clients with tax planning, minimizing tax liabilities while maximizing legal deductions.
  • Review and analyze tax notices and correspondence, assisting clients with resolution.
  • Provide insights on withholding taxes, foreign investments, and treaty benefits, where applicable.
  • Collaborate with clients and provide regular updates on financial performance and tax obligations.
  • Build long-term client relationships by ensuring timely and accurate service delivery.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or EA qualification preferred but not mandatory.
  • 0-3 years of experience in US bookkeeping, tax preparation, or financial compliance.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP, IRS regulations, and state-specific tax laws.
  • Fresh graduates with strong knowledge of US taxation and accounting practices are encouraged to apply.
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in accounting and tax software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, TurboTax, Lacerte).
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations and US reporting standards.
Soft Skills
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with high accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and internal teams.
