Capital Cost Estimation Role:

  • Estimating Responsibilities: Prepare detailed cost estimates for various projects, ensuring comprehensive coverage of capital costs.
  • Economic Analysis and Contract Management: Provide expert advice on building economics, tendering procedures, and contract arrangements to optimize project outcomes.
  • Tender Package Development: Create contract packages, including custom amendments to standard forms, and prepare pricing documents for tender packages.
  • Tender Evaluation Criteria: Develop evaluation criteria for tenders, commercially assess all submissions, and negotiate with bidders.
  • Price Variations and Claims Assessment: Determine amounts due to contractors for price variations and resolve claims.
  • Cost Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and submit monthly Cost Reports, providing actionable insights.

Requirements:

  • Qualification: Hold a Mechanical/Electrical Engineering degree or Chartered QS certification from a recognized organization.
  • Experience: Possess 5-10 years of experience in quantity surveying, demonstrating expertise in the field.
  • Skill Set: Exhibit strong understanding of QS & cost management processes, IT proficiency, excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and independence in work.
