Plant Quality Lead

Job Summary:

The Plant Quality Lead will oversee all quality assurance and control processes at our manufacturing facility for LV electrical panels.

This role ensures compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and internal quality objectives.

The successful candidate will lead a team of quality professionals, drive continuous improvement, and maintain the highest standards of product reliability and safety.

  • Quality Management System (QMS): Develop, implement, and maintain QMS to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards for LV electrical panel manufacturing.
  • Process Oversight: Monitor and control quality processes across all stages of production, from raw material inspection to final product testing.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of quality engineers, inspectors, and technicians to achieve quality objectives.
  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure adherence to industry standards (e.g., IEC, UL, BIS) and customer-specific requirements for LV electrical panels.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives for process optimization, defect reduction, and quality improvement using tools like Six Sigma, Lean, and root cause analysis.

Key Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or certifications in Quality Management is desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in quality management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the LV electrical panel or similar electrical manufacturing industry.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of LV electrical panel design, manufacturing processes, and testing standards.
  • Skills:
  • Expertise in QMS, Lean, Six Sigma, and statistical process control.
  • Proficiency in quality tools like FMEA, Pareto charts, and root cause analysis.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
