Procurement Strategist Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership & Strategy
    • Provide guidance and performance management to the procurement team.
    • Develop and implement global procurement strategies to achieve cost savings, process efficiencies, and supply chain optimization.
    • Establish policies and procedures to standardize procurement operations.
  • Supplier Management & Negotiations
    • Source, evaluate, and develop suppliers worldwide for high-quality, cost-effective, and reliable supplies.
    • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with international and domestic vendors.
    • Build and maintain supplier partnerships while managing performance through KPIs and regular reviews.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Oversee purchase orders, requisitions, and contracts from creation to approval and tracking.
    • Ensure purchasing activities align with organizational goals, inventory requirements, and budget constraints.
    • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with Operations and Warehouse teams to forecast future supply needs.
  • Compliance & Reporting
    • Ensure compliance with corporate procurement policies and international trade regulations.
    • Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, and audit-ready documentation.
    • Prepare strategic purchasing reports, cost analysis, and market insights for executive management.
