Interior Design Leader Position

The ideal candidate will lead and oversee the interior design strategy, execution, and detailing across residential, commercial, retail, and hospitality projects. This role requires a strong leadership presence, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive results-driven design solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design Leadership
    • Develop and implement an overall interior design direction from concept to execution.
    • Create a comprehensive design brief with input from management.
    • Interpret and integrate brand philosophy, sustainability objectives, and customer preferences into all design outputs.
    • Manage design development post-concept, including detailed drawings, material selections, and 3D visualizations.
    • Evaluate and ensure compliance with statutory regulations and design codes.
    • Project Execution & Coordination
      • Liaise with consultants and vendors to deliver quality design solutions on time and within budget.
      • Drive the adoption of 3D modeling and AI-powered tools to enhance visualization and execution accuracy.
      • Oversee the execution of interior design, including site coordination with the project team and contractors.
      • Plan and execute sales gallery and show flats.
      • Coordinate the construction of mock-ups with approval from management.
      • Quality & Value Engineering
        • Evaluate and validate design submittals, ensuring value engineering is achieved without compromising quality.
        • Maintain quality control for interior works at site through scheduled visits.
        • Minimize cost escalations through efficient planning and smart sourcing of materials and finishes.
        • Sustainability & Compliance
          • Cultivate the use of sustainable and locally sourced materials.
          • Ensure alignment with ESG goals, accessibility standards, and green building certifications.
          • Team & Stakeholder Management
            • Collaborate closely with the Design Execution, Planning, and Procurement teams.
            • Foster a high-performing interior design team, supporting their growth through structured performance management and L&D programs.
            • Maintain strong engagement with external consultants and suppliers to stay updated on trends and innovations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 15 years of experience in interior design for large-scale real estate projects.
  • Strong knowledge of design tools (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop).
  • Proficiency in reading BIM 360.
  • Experience in sustainable design practices and green certifications is preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
