Job Role Summary:

Deputy Accounts Manager

This role focuses on managing inventory and financial transactions across various channels. Key responsibilities include monitoring inventory across sales channels, overseeing stock movement accounting, ensuring accurate valuation of inventory, identifying discrepancies, and coordinating with operations to resolve issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the reconciliation of inventory across multiple sales channels: retail stores, marketplaces, and direct-to-consumer website.
  • Oversee the accounting process for stock movements including inward, outward, returns, damages, and inter-store transfers.
  • Ensure accurate valuation of inventory considering landed costs, GST, freight, and other overheads.
  • Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies in collaboration with Operations and Merchandising teams.
  • Manage vendor payments and reconciliations ensuring timely settlement of dues.
  • Reconcile sales data from payment gateways, POS systems, marketplace reports, and internal ERP systems.
  • Prepare channel-wise profit and loss statements, margin analysis, and profitability reports.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements related to inventory and vendor transactions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
  • 2-3 years of experience in accounts preferably with a strong background in semi-qualified CA, and inventory control/reconciliation in retail/D2C/marketplace environments.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Good understanding of taxation and compliance regulations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
