Job Title: Strategic Tax Advisory Lead

The Mergers and Acquisitions Tax Advisor will oversee advisory engagements for multinational companies, managing mergers, demergers, business acquisitions, investment structuring, and joint ventures. This role requires coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure strategic execution, regulatory compliance, and optimal tax efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing advisory engagements for multinational companies involving mergers, demergers, business acquisitions, investment structuring, and joint ventures.
  • Coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure strategic execution, regulatory compliance, and optimal tax efficiency.
  • Supporting clients throughout their business lifecycle by conducting detailed quantitative analysis, managing seamless execution of plans, and applying effective structuring strategies to help achieve commercial and strategic goals.
  • Ideating on tax structuring options for multinational clients, evaluating India inbound structuring options, and managing end-to-end regulatory compliance processes for acquisitions.
  • Planning tax due diligence work and advising clients in negotiating the terms of transactions and documents based on the findings of tax due diligence.
  • Devising a practical approach to resolving tax issues in structuring assignments and conducting comprehensive reviews of business operations to identify tax planning opportunities and compliance gaps.
  • Providing guidance to the team, identifying challenges, connecting with team members, and creating a learning environment to encourage high-quality performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, ability to work under pressure, strong problem-solving skills, and knowledge of tax laws and regulations.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Commerce or equivalent, minimum 5 years of experience in taxation and mergers and acquisitions, and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
