BIM Technician Job Description

Job Title: BIM Technician

We are seeking a skilled Building Information Modeling (BIM) specialist to join our design and engineering team.

  • Create detailed BIM models with a minimum Level of Development (LOD) 350+.
  • Coordinate architectural, structural, and MEP services within the model for seamless integration.
  • Execute modeling tasks independently with minimal supervision.
  • Develop and manage parametric Revit families as per project scope.
  • Ensure accuracy, compliance with BIM execution plans and project standards.
  • Participate in design coordination meetings and model reviews.
  • Support the resolution of design coordination issues within the model.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement BIM workflows for efficient project delivery.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure accurate and coordinated models.
  • Maintain and update project standards and BIM execution plans.
  • Train and assist colleagues on BIM software and best practices.
  • Monitor and analyze project metrics to improve BIM processes.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of proven experience as a BIM technician or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and related BIM tools.
  • Solid understanding of multidisciplinary coordination in BIM workflows.
  • Experience working on industrial projects is highly desirable.
  • Ability to create custom families and maintain project standards.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to meet deadlines and achieve project goals.
