Leading Physics Faculty in IB School
Location:
Sarjapur Bangalore
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced head of the physics department to lead the academic and administrative activities of the physics faculty and teach students from grade 6 to 12.
Key Responsibilities:- Curriculum Development: Design and implement curriculum plans for physics across grades 6 to 12 in alignment with ib igcse curriculum as applicable.
- Instructional Leadership: Lead the planning and execution of lessons assessments and lab work.
- Technology Integration: Ensure the integration of technology and modern teaching methodologies.
- Differentiated Instruction: Monitor and support differentiated instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
- Teaching and Mentoring: Teach physics to middle and senior school students with a focus on conceptual clarity and application. Provide academic guidance mentoring and remedial support where needed.
- Faculty Supervision: Supervise and mentor physics faculty members. Conduct regular departmental meetings and teacher training sessions.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Review lesson plans observe classes and provide constructive feedback. Oversee the creation and evaluation of question papers assignments and practical exams.
- Student Performance Analysis: Track and analyze student performance data to drive improvement. Communicate student progress with parents during ptms and through reports.
- Extra-Curricular Activities: Organize physics-related clubs science fairs olympiad training and inter-school competitions. Promote inquiry-based learning and stem initiatives.
