Job Description

The Lead Performing Arts Faculty Member will contribute to the development of curriculum, guide student projects, and engage in scholarly activities that enhance the department's reputation and visibility. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in performing arts, including core curriculum and electives.
  • Mentoring and advising students in their academic and artistic pursuits.
  • Fostering an inclusive and collaborative classroom environment that encourages student participation and creativity.
  • Utilizing innovative teaching methods, including technology integration and hands-on experiences.
Research and Scholarship

The successful candidate will maintain an active research agenda in the field of performing arts, including publishing in academic journals, presenting at conferences, and producing creative works. They will also collaborate with faculty and students on research projects and initiatives that promote interdisciplinary work.

Service

The Lead Performing Arts Faculty Member will participate in departmental, college, and university committees and initiatives, contributing to the growth and development of the department through community engagement and outreach programs.

Qualifications

Pay Range and Compensation Package

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. The compensation package includes benefits such as health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
