FyndBridge Consultants & Advisors seeks a Chief Academic Officer to provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for the School of Liberal Arts.

Estimated Salary: $150,000 - $180,000 per annum

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have a distinguished academic and professional background, with a commitment to interdisciplinary education and the ability to build and nurture a culture of excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Academic Leadership:
  •   Develop and execute a strategic vision for the School of Liberal Arts, aligning with FyndBridge's overall mission.
  •   Lead curriculum design and innovation across a diverse range of liberal arts disciplines.
  •   Foster interdisciplinary collaboration between the School of Liberal Arts and other schools within FyndBridge.
  • Faculty Development:
  •   Recruit, mentor, and retain highly qualified faculty members.
  •   Promote a culture of research, teaching excellence, and professional development.
  • Student Success:
  •   Ensure a robust student-centered learning environment that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and ethical leadership.
  •   Collaborate with student affairs to develop extracurricular activities that complement academic programs.
  • Administrative Oversight:
  •   Manage the School's budget, resources, and facilities effectively.
  •   Oversee accreditation processes, academic policies, and quality assurance standards.
  •   Serve as a representative of the School at FyndBridge-wide committees and external forums.
  • Community Engagement:
  •   Build partnerships with industry, government, and academic institutions to enhance the School's reputation and opportunities for students and faculty.
  •   Advocate for liberal arts education in public forums to promote its value in a rapidly changing world.

Qualifications:

  • Academic Credentials: Ph.D. in a relevant discipline from a recognized university.
  • Experience: At least 10+ years of experience in higher education, with a proven track record in academic leadership, program development, and research.
  • Skills:
  • Strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to foster an inclusive and diverse academic environment.
