Business Intelligence Specialist

As a Business Intelligence Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in spearheading our organization's strategic decision-making initiatives by leveraging data-driven insights.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain advanced analytics models to drive business growth.
  • Design and implement comprehensive reporting frameworks to inform high-level decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop targeted solutions.
  • Manage the creation, update, and deletion of master datasets to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Administer user access and roles to ensure secure data management practices.
  • Implement quality assurance measures to guarantee imported data meets organizational standards.
  • Commission and decommission data sets as necessary to optimize resource allocation.
  • Process confidential information according to established guidelines to maintain data security.
  • Contribute to report development and analysis to inform strategic objectives.
  • Design and manage the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata.
  • Support the data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting requirements to meet evolving business needs.
  • Drive initiatives for data integrity and normalization to improve overall data quality.
  • Evaluate tests and implement new or upgraded software to support strategic decisions on new systems.
  • Generate reports from single or multiple systems to provide actionable insights.
  • Troubleshoot the reporting database environment and reports to resolve technical issues promptly.
  • Assess changes and updates to source production systems to ensure seamless integration.
  • Train end-users on new reports and dashboards to enhance adoption rates.
  • Provide technical expertise in data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing to drive data-driven decision making.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in a related field.
  • Work experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst or in a related field.
  • Able to collaborate with stakeholders to assess potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Skilled in analyzing existing tools and databases and providing software solution recommendations.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical terms to facilitate clear communication.
  • High-level experience in methodologies and processes for managing large-scale databases to ensure optimal data management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in handling large data sets and relational databases to drive data-driven decision making.
  • Understanding of addressing and metadata standards to ensure data consistency.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively articulate complex data concepts to diverse audiences.
