Job Title: Deputy Director – Menswear Buying

This role is responsible for developing strategic buying plans and policies to optimize procurement processes. The Deputy Director will lead and oversee the buying team, negotiate contracts with suppliers, and monitor market trends and supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic buying plans and policies.
  • Lead and manage a buying team to ensure timely acquisition of goods and services.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
  • Monitor market trends and supplier performance to make informed buying decisions.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to align buying activities with organizational objectives.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives and drive efficiency in the buying process.
Requirements:
  • 10 to 15 years of experience in apparel buying and product development.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field (NIFT preferred).
  • Professional certification in Procurement or Supply Chain (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) preferred.
  • Strong negotiation skills and proven experience in vendor management.
  • Excellent analytical abilities and decision-making capabilities.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills to manage a buying team successfully.
