Agile PLM Technical Specialist

The role of a Techno-Functional Consultant in Agile PLM is to design, develop and implement technical solutions that support business processes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and deploying Process Extensions (PXs) using Java for Agile PLM 9.3.6
  • Customizing workflows, events and triggers using the Agile SDK
  • Performing unit testing and supporting functional testing
  • Supporting data exchange and synchronization across enterprise systems (SAP, Visual, Enovia)
  • Writing technical specifications for customizations and integrations
  • Providing ongoing support for Agile PLM applications and troubleshooting issues
  • Reviewing and maintaining Agile ACS code and SDK-based customizations
  • Creating event scripts and Groovy scripts for workflow automation
  • Customizing Agile Web Client UI (where supported) to improve usability
  • Working with functional consultants and business stakeholders to gather requirements
  • Recompiling and redeploying existing PXs during version upgrades
  • Ensuring smooth deployment across development, staging and production environments
  • Using Agile Import/Export tools, SDK or direct database staging for bulk data loads or data updates
  • Validating migrated data for completeness and integrity
  • Analyzing and resolving application errors related to custom PXs, integrations or performance issues
  • Performing log analysis (WebLogic logs, Agile PLM logs) for root cause investigation
  • Optimizing PXs, queries and scripts to minimize execution time to impact performance
  • Assisting in load testing for large-scale Agile PLM deployments
  • Maintaining documentation for all custom developments, integrations and scripts
  • Creating deployment guides for moving code from Dev / QA / Production
  • Keeping version control of all custom artifacts
  • Refactoring or rebuilding incompatible PXs and web services
  • Supporting regression testing for technical components
  • Developing Tomcat server applications
