Job Overview:

The Position:

  • We seek a skilled individual to design and build system testbeds using various networking devices and servers.
  • The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of 802.11 protocol standards, hands-on experience in QA validation of Enterprise grade Wireless Access Points, and a strong background in routing and switching concepts.
  • You will be responsible for recreating customer issues in the lab, working closely with engineering teams to drive resolution, and creating technical documentation for stakeholders.
  • Able to train and guide junior engineers on emerging wireless technologies, you will also be responsible for timely escalation of critical issues.
  • Performance testing using iPerf, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to review customer report defects and enhance test coverage are also key responsibilities.
  • Create bugs in tracking systems and track them closely with engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:

Primary Accountabilities:

  • Design and build system testbeds using various networking devices and servers.
  • Conduct QA validation of Enterprise grade Wireless Access Points.
  • Recreate customer issues in the lab and collaborate with engineering teams to drive resolution.
  • Create technical documentation for stakeholders.
  • Train and guide junior engineers on emerging wireless technologies.
  • Escalate critical issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review customer report defects and enhance test coverage.
  • Track and manage bugs in tracking systems.
Requirements:

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Lead engineer with 8+ years of experience
  • BE/ME/MS in EE, CS or related discipline
  • In-depth knowledge of 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax protocol standards
  • Hands on experience in QA validation of Enterprise grade Wireless Access Points
  • Basic concepts of routing and switching (including VLAN, DHCP, DNS, NAT, Trunk/Native)
  • Hands on experience in validating IEEE802.1x feature using Freeradius or any standard RADIUS server
  • In-depth knowledge of various 802.11 protocols such as 802.11r/k/v
  • Must have experience in troubleshooting based on Wireless packet captures
  • Passion for solving customer issues and advocating for their success, in a fast-paced, highly technical environment.
  • Ability to quickly and accurately assess the technical aspects of a problem.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of L2TPv3/IPsec
