**About Our Organization:**

We're a rapidly expanding business finance provider that specializes in offering supply chain financing solutions to small and medium-sized enterprises. Our focus is on enabling working capital access for businesses through our technology-driven, scalable lending platform.

**Role Overview:

We're seeking an experienced Credit Head to lead the credit risk management, underwriting, and portfolio management functions. This role will play a pivotal part in setting up and driving the credit strategy, policies, and processes aligned with business objectives, while ensuring risk management standards and regulatory compliance are maintained.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Credit Policy Development: Define, implement, and monitor credit policies, frameworks, and processes for SME/MSME lending and supply chain financing.
  • Credit Appraisal and Underwriting: Lead the credit appraisal and underwriting function, including assessment of borrower risk, financial due diligence, and creditworthiness evaluation.
  • Portfolio Quality Management: Oversee portfolio quality, delinquency management, and design early warning mechanisms to mitigate risk.
  • Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with business, risk, and operations teams to balance growth objectives with prudent credit practices.
  • Reporting and Presentations: Present credit proposals and portfolio performance updates to senior management, board, and regulators as required.
  • Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing credit team capable of handling scale.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay updated with industry, regulatory, and market trends impacting SME/MSME lending.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 8–15 years of experience in credit risk management or underwriting, preferably with businesses specializing in SME/MSME lending.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain finance, bill discounting, invoice financing, and related credit products.
  • Proven ability to build credit frameworks from scratch and manage large loan books with quality.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory norms, compliance requirements, and industry guidelines for businesses providing finance services.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • CA/MBA/FRM or equivalent qualification preferred.
