Main Responsibilities:

  • Extract and Transform Data: Cleanse, analyze, and extract valuable information from complex claims and provider data sets.
  • Develop Advanced SQL Queries: Optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL scripts for efficient data extraction and transformation.
  • Apply Statistical Methods and Machine Learning Techniques: Utilize Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn to build predictive models and generate insights.
  • Visualize Findings: Create informative dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Tableau or Power BI to communicate findings effectively.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to define project requirements and ensure data accuracy.
  • Identify Trends and Opportunities: Analyze healthcare data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities to support operational and strategic initiatives.
  • Maintain Documentation: Document processes, methodologies, and data definitions for transparency and reproducibility.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.
  • Proven experience working with healthcare claims and provider data.
  • Advanced SQL skills with expertise in data manipulation, aggregation, and performance tuning.
  • Strong Python skills with libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn.
  • Familiarity with healthcare data standards (HIPAA, ICD, CPT, NPI) is beneficial.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills with ability to work in fast-paced environments.
