Trade Surveillance Specialist

The role of a Trade Surveillance Specialist involves providing trade surveillance coverage across European trading venues. This entails monitoring and analysing the trading activity of all participants across the Tradeweb European platform.

As a Trade Surveillance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that daily procedures are executed in accordance with internal guidelines to maintain fair and orderly markets. This includes using available systems to monitor daily order and trade activity, identifying behaviour indicative of market abuse or disorderly markets, and conducting thematic reviews.

Your responsibilities will also include recommending updates to our surveillance system, escalating reasonable suspicions to the Head of Surveillance, and taking forward agreed actions, including preparing and submitting reports to regulatory bodies.

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess some trade surveillance and data analytics experience, ideally gained in brokerages, securities trading, regulator, or exchange environments. You will also require an understanding of the UK and EU Market Abuse Regulations and the drive to become a subject matter expert.

This is an organic role, requiring dedication, flexibility, and commitment to adhere to (and improve) trade surveillance procedures. You will need to be detail-oriented, a team-player, and comfortable working across products and borders. Effective communication skills will also be essential in interacting with senior business leaders and corporate function managers.

In return for your hard work and dedication, you can expect a stimulating and rewarding career within a dynamic organisation committed to maintaining good corporate culture and ethics.

About the Organisation:

We build and operate efficient financial marketplaces, providing market participants with greater transparency and efficiency in fixed income and derivatives. We focus on applying technology to enhance efficiency throughout the trade lifecycle, supporting marketplaces for over 20 asset classes with electronic execution, processing, post-trade analysis, and market data in an integrated workflow.

We value diversity of culture and thought and seek talented, qualified employees in all our operations around the world regardless of race, gender, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other protected classification under country or local law.
