Job Title: Service Engineering Specialist

About the Role:

The Service Engineer plays a pivotal part in supporting technical experts resolve service-related issues, focusing on mechanical bearing problems. This specialist is accountable for maintaining accurate documentation in Teamcenter and Windchill, creating and updating failed component information, and providing regular updates to management regarding potential serial defects.

This position entails dealing with unexpected situations and time-sensitive tasks as part of its day-to-day activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with global teams of technical experts within Global Service Engineering.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for technical issues between local business units and central business units.
  • Assign tasks along the technical support process.
  • Gather information about mechanical components' performance in wind turbines.
  • Identify and report potential serial issues.
  • Evaluate risk potential, budgeting, and schedule necessary activities related to major non-conformities.
  • Support local business units develop sustainable solutions for mechanical problems related to wind turbine drive trains using distinctive technical expertise.
  • Create repair and inspection instructions for mechanical component assemblies.
  • Define, implement, and obtain service processes for mechanical assemblies.
  • Enhance internal standards and processes and ensure the transfer of knowledge between relevant departments and locations.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate should possess at least 6-8 years of experience in mechanical drive trains and roller bearings (design, development, evaluation of fault conditions, and error analysis), preferably with big-size roller bearings. Proven project coordination experience is also required.

The candidate must have strong analytical and data manipulation skills in Excel, organizational and time management skills, and be able to prioritize tasks effectively.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. A bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering is mandatory, along with excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.

The candidate should also have knowledge of Teamcenter PLM, Windchill PLM, SAP, and troubleshooting techniques. Additional languages like German, Spanish, or French are considered desirable.
