Release Management Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Release Management initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Change Request (CR) creation, cross-team coordination, and automation-driven delivery pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Release Planning: Plan, schedule, and manage software releases across multiple environments.
  • Timely Delivery: Ensure timely and quality delivery of releases with minimal disruption.
  • Release Coordination: Maintain release calendars and coordinate with stakeholders for alignment.
Change Request (CR) Management
  • CR Creation: Create, track, and manage CRs through their lifecycle.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal governance and external audit requirements.
  • Impact Assessment: Collaborate with business and technical teams to assess impact and risk.
Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Liaison Role: Act as a liaison between development, QA, infrastructure, and business teams.
  • Release Readiness: Facilitate release readiness meetings and post-release reviews.
  • Dependency Resolution: Resolve conflicts and dependencies across teams to ensure smooth delivery.
DevOps & Automation
  • CI/CD Implementation: Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps.
  • Deployment Optimization: Monitor and optimize deployment processes for scalability and reliability.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Drive adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Communication & Collaboration
  • Effective Communication: Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Technical Information Sharing: Effectively convey technical and non-technical information to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Collaborative Environment: Foster a collaborative environment across geographically distributed teams.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Release Documentation: Maintain detailed release notes, CR logs, and deployment documentation.
  • Status Updates: Provide regular status updates and metrics to leadership.

Required Skills:

  • 7+ years of experience in Release Management and DevOps.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile processes.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Shell, Python, Groovy).
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git), ticketing tools (JIRA, ServiceNow), and monitoring tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in DevOps & Agile methodologies.
  • Experience in regulated industries is a plus.
  • Familiarity with security and compliance standards in release processes.
