Structural Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing structural design and engineering inputs for social infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Engineering Inputs: Provide structural design and engineering inputs for social infrastructure projects, including schools, hospitals, community centers, sanitation facilities, water supply structures, etc.
  • Review and Finalise Designs: Review and finalise structural designs, drawings, and detailed estimates.
  • Structural Analysis: Carry out structural analysis and ensure compliance with IS codes, NBC, and applicable international standards.
  • Integrated Design Solutions: Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, and other specialists to ensure integrated design solutions.
  • Foundation Design: Assess foundation design, load calculations, earthquake-resistant design, and durability aspects.
  • Design Basis Reports: Prepare design basis reports, structural BOQs, and cost estimates.
  • DPR Deliverables: Conduct a review of DPR deliverables (draft and final reports) from a structural perspective.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance to project teams and support capacity building.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Structural Engineering Expertise: Strong expertise in structural engineering design for buildings and social infrastructure projects.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in structural design software (STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, AutoCAD).
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of IS codes, IRC standards, and international guidelines.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Documentation: Strong documentation, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
